Frequently Asked Questions

At Fairview Court Care Home, we provide a mix of nursing care, residential care, dementia care, respite care and day care services. Our care team will work with you and your family members to create a personal care plan that’s right for you. This will enable us to offer the support and level of care you need to continue to live a fulfilling life. If your circumstances change whilst you’re staying with us, we can amend your plan.

We work hard to ensure everyone is greeted with a warm welcome when visiting or staying at Fairview Court Care Home. At first, we’ll spend time showing you around and answer any questions you may have, to ensure you feel settled and safe.

We encourage all of our residents to bring along as many personal items as possible, to ensure they feel at home. This could include photographs of loved ones, ornaments, or even furniture if necessary.

We have an extensive activities programme for you to get involved with, so that you can keep up with your most loved hobbies, and even find new ones. If you’d prefer to relax, you can also sit back and enjoy the friendly atmosphere, whilst meeting new people.

We have a variety of entertainment and care home activities, including day trips to ensure there is always something interesting going on. Our Activity Coordinators will support and encourage you with any hobbies or interests.

Activities can include hairdressing, bingo, pen pal letters, morning papers, baking, arts and crafts, music, singing and much more. We’re always looking for new hobbies to introduce to our residents and welcome all ideas.

We also celebrate many occasions and themed days throughout the year, such as St Patricks Day, French Day, Halloween, Remembrance Day, Christmas and birthdays. These all require additional preparation which the residents love to help out with, such as preparing meals and decorations.

The food is one of the many benefits of a care home, as we can supply a wide range of well-balanced nutritious meals. Everything is cooked by our chefs in-house, using fresh ingredients, with a selection of treats and snacks available too, based on our residents’ preferences. We’re also happy to cook something off the menu should our residents have a preference on a particular day.

We’ll cater for all needs and special diet requirements and always have an array of drinks available.

We can accommodate pets in some cases, please discuss this further with our Home Manager.

If you need additional support on other topics such as residential care home fees, how to find a care home that’s right for you, or costs of respite care in nursing homes – please get in touch with our team.
